Latchmere School

Lead Teacher of SRP

Specialist ASD Resource Provision

Required from: 1 September 2026

Salary: Main / Upper Scale + 2 SEN points

Join us on an exciting journey in inclusive, research-informed SEND practice!

Latchmere School is a thriving, creative and forward-thinking primary school which is part of Latchmere Academy Trust. Our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for children who have Social Communication Needs, including Autism is well-established, warmly regarded, and central to our whole-school commitment to inclusive excellence.

As national SEND policy moves towards earlier intervention, strengthened parental confidence and more consistent high-quality provision across schools, this is a genuinely exciting time to lead an SRP within a Trust that embraces innovation, collaboration, and evidence-based practice.

We are seeking an experienced, ambitious and passionate SEND practitioner to lead our Specialist Resource Provision for 14 pupils from Reception to Year 6 with Autism and associated learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to shape provision, develop a highly skilled team, and influence inclusive practice across the whole school.

What makes this opportunity special?

  • Lead a well-established, respected SRP in a mainstream school known for its nurturing ethos and strong commitment to SEND.
  • Shape the next phase of our ASD provision in line with national SEND priorities, including early intervention, consistency of support and strengthened inclusion.
  • Work with a skilled team of mainstream teachers, education support staff and external professionals across education, health and therapy services.
  • Benefit from Trust-wide SEND networks, leadership development and opportunities to contribute to wider strategy across Latchmere Academy Trust.
  • Play a key role in developing staff expertise in Autism, adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practice.
  • Work in partnership with a supportive senior leadership team dedicated to developing and supporting specialist provision.

Why work at Latchmere School and Latchmere Academy Trust?

  • A caring and collaborative culture.
  • High-quality professional development, including leadership pathways.
  • Child centred approach to education.
  • A Trust that values Inclusion.
  • A commitment to innovation and continual improvement.
  • Supportive wellbeing initiatives across the school.
  • Strong parental engagement and a warm, inclusive community.
